Is Rythmo Bille free?
Yes. The game is completely free and plays in your browser. The shop uses a currency earned by playing, and its items are cosmetic only.
Which devices can I play on?
On computers (Windows, macOS, Linux) and on phones or tablets, in a recent browser such as Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari. An Android app is on its way.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Just open the website. An internet connection is needed for leaderboards and multiplayer.
Is my music uploaded to a server?
No. The files you import are analysed directly on your device. If you publish a level, only the notes (the transcription) are shared, never the audio recording.
Which music formats are supported?
MP3, WAV, OGG, M4A and FLAC for audio; MIDI and MusicXML for sheet music. Sheet music gives the most faithful result for piano.
Why are some notes in my level wrong?
Transcribing a recording is done by an AI: it can make mistakes, especially with many instruments, reverb or effects. You can fix every note in the editor, or import a MIDI file if you have one.
The analysis is slow on my phone, is that normal?
Vocal separation needs a lot of computing power. In automatic mode, phones skip it to go faster. For a long song, the analysis can take two or three minutes.
Do I need an account?
Not to play solo. A nickname is needed to appear on leaderboards and to play ranked games. Linking an email address is optional and helps you recover your account.
How does Elo work?
Everyone starts at 300. The winner of a ranked game takes 3 to 30 Elo from the loser, based on their points, the points gap and the Elo gap between the two players. Ranks go from Silver to Maestro (1,000 Elo and up).
I can't find an opponent, why?
Ranked search starts with players close to your Elo, then widens after one and three minutes. The number of players online is shown in the menu. You can also create a custom game and invite a friend with the link.
Can I play with a friend?
Yes: create a private custom game and send them the room link or code. You choose the level, the difficulty and the rules together.
How do I delete my account?

Does the game show ads?
The game may show discreet ads to cover its hosting costs, never during a game. You can also support the project with a donation.
